RICHMOND — The feud between New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Redskins cornerback Josh Norman isn’t going away any time soon, even if Norman doesn’t want to directly speak about Beckham’s latest comments.
Beckham said in a recent GQ interview that Norman has made a name off him and signed a five-year, $75 million deal with the Redskins because of him. The two will face off twice a year now that Norman is in the NFC East after their well-documented scuffle in Week 15 when Norman was with the Carolina Panthers.
“I don’t know what to say about that,” Norman said on Friday. “I guess if a guy talks about you that much, you must be doing something right.”
Norman has been pretty consistent with his comments about the superstar wide receiver since he joined Washington in April. He’s attempted to publicly play down their beef, although Beckham has often initiated the topic off the field and has felt this way about Norman even before the Panthers rescinded the cornerback’s franchise tag, freeing Norman to become a free agent and sign the hefty contract with the Redskins.
That boy should thank me for all I've done for you !!! Your welcome tho ... Lol

But now it’ll be a lot more media attention for him, attention that I don’t really look for, attention that I don’t need. The reason that’s he’s become so relevant is because of me.”

Norman has had his fair share of media appearances during the offseason, including a trip to France to visit soccer club Paris Saint-Germain, an NFL Network appearance in Los Angeles after being voted the 11th best player on its top 100 list and finally a visit to New York last week to promote his partnership with a wearable device.
“It means nothing to me obviously because the same fact — he’s talking about me but I’m not talking about him,” Norman said. “It’s kind of like, ‘Well, dang.’ You was once the hunter, now you’re the hunted. So it’s like why am I talking about you? For what? So I have nothing to say and now we are the hunted and not the hunter.”
